Saturday Night Live has been a mainstay of American television for over 40 years, but the show has yet to have an East Asian-American full-time cast member.

That's all about to change.

NBC recently announced that writer and comedian Bowen Yang will be joining the cast of tour de force comedians brave enough to broadcast live into the living rooms of Americans who need a laugh.

Yang may be new to the full-time cast, but he's no stranger to SNL.

He made his on-camera SNL debut last year in a scene stealing cameo as North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Having worked as a writer for the show for one season, he also wrote one of SNL's most popular pre-taped sketches, "The Actress," with his colleague Julio Torres.

But SNL isn't the first time Bowen's comedic prowess has caught national attention.

Yang's lip syncs of viral cultural moments are hilarious—and precise enough to make any Drag Race queen green with envy.

You can also catch Yang doing stand up at various shows around his home of New York City.

And in addition to ALL OF THAT, Bowen Yang has a hilarious weekly cultural commentary podcast, Las Culturistas, with his best friend Matt Rogers.

People were thrilled at the news of Yang's latest achievement.

We love to see it.

In many ways, we should have all seen the recent election results coming, and chief among the missed signs is how cooked some of Gen Z's brains are.

People Describe The Most Unbelievable Coincidences They've Ever Experienced

Coincidence is defined as "a remarkable concurrence—the fact of two or more events or circumstances happening or existing at the same time—of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection."

However, we often don't use the term exactly that way. The requirement of concurrence is often missing in the colloquial usage of "coincidence." We use it more often to mean "something that's not planned or arranged but seems like it is."
