18-Year-Old TikToker 'In Shock' After Being Told Her New College Roommate Is 52 Years Old

When most of us think of "college life," most of us think first of a few stereotypes: parties, late nights, studying, tests, expensive textbooks, and figuring out who we're going to be when we graduate.

And, typically, that's in the company of other students our age who are having to figure everything out in a similar way.

It came as a shock to 18-year-old "Felicity" of @thefelicitybost on TikTok, when she found out that her college roommate was going to be a woman in a whole other decade of her life, at the age of 52.

Felicity shared a video on TikTok when she received the news, simply staring into the camera with wide eyes and a hand over her mouth for most of the video.

Clearly, this TikToker wasn't sure how an 18-year-old and a 52-year-old were going to live together without developing a child-parent or child-grandparent relationship.

She captioned the video:

"I'm still in shock and can't get over it."

In a pinned comment in the comments section, she wrote:

"Nothing against people of that age at all, I just feel uncomfortable having a roommate that's old enough to be my grandmother..."

The video garnered serious attention overnight, with more than 407,000 likes and nearly 8000 comments on the TikTok platform alone.

It also inspired a serious conversation about dorm life and roommates, age gaps in every kind of relationship, and even gratitude.

Some thought the TikToker was being ridiculous.

A few also tried to comfort her.

While TikTok could not come to an agreement on whether this was potentially a good thing or a bad thing, some TikTokers pointed out that Felicity's feelings were valid and that she had the right to be as excited or nervous as she needed to be, especially while starting this new stage in her life.

Hopefully, she would either be set up with a different roommate, or this roommate would pleasantly surprise her with wisdom and fun while they both worked their way through their college years.

Fox News Guest Has Blunt Reminder About Trump After Sean Hannity Asks About Biden's 'Cognitive Decline'

Fox News personality Sean Hannity was widely mocked after guest commentator Stephanie Miller gave him more than he bargained for with her response to his question about when she first noticed former President Joe Biden's "cognitive decline."

President Donald Trump and Republicans have long questioned Biden's cognitive fitness for office to draw attention from Trump's own gaffes. Earlier this week, Trump made headlines for claiming "no one knows what magnets are" during an Oval Office exchange. He has also continued to attract attention for falling asleep during events.
