TikToker @empease7 was curious to know what was rattling around inside some of her Christmas tree ornaments, so she took a stick and broke one open—and it was full of insects.

A woman on TikTok unlocked a new fear after revealing the contents of the "rattling" Christmas tree ornaments she retrieved from storage.

TikToker @empease7 took to the platform after the noise her ornaments were making piqued her curiosity.

She explained that she had just taken them from storage when she noticed the peculiar sound.

"Alright, when I got my ornaments out of storage today, I noticed that a bunch had this weird rattle sound."

The TikToker explained that she is a firm believer in investigating "red flags," so she "had to know what was inside."

Unfortunately.

She continued:

"So, I did the sensible thing, and grabbed a stick."
"I whacked it, and oh. my. gosh."

That was the moment the creator realized her ornaments had been infiltrated by insects.

As the bugs scattered from the wreckage, the TikToker added:

"Look at the ants that were coming out of this thing."
"It was terrifying."
