We've all been there.

You come home from a night out, perhaps you had a fair amount to drink, and you really need go. So you speed-walk to the bathroom, turn on the light, and get ready for that blessed release only to find that your toilet has vanished.

Wait, what?

Ok, so maybe that isn't such a universal situation after all.

But if was going to happen to anyone, then it seems fitting that it would happen to social media queen and wife of John Legend, Chrissy Teigen.

Known for her humorous posts, Teigen was clearly the perfect victim for this mystery. And she made the most of it in a viral Twitter thread.

First she gave a little backstory:

Then she tweeted the photographic evidence to back up her claims. And sure enough, there is no toilet in sight. Just a sad, out-of-place toilet paper holder and a large empty space:

Naturally, everyone wanted to know what happened next. I mean, Teigen had limited options, and time was of the essence:

Perhaps more people have been in this situation than previously thought:

Or other similar bathroom mishaps, for the matter:

And while some were quick to judge Teigen, it's important to keep in mind that she's very pregnant right now. And pregnant women are known to have to pee approximately every two minutes:

But then the question centered on the more pressing issue: what exactly happened to Teigen's toilet? It can't have simply vanished, right?

And with that, Twitter was on the case, offering oh-so-helpful theories as to where the toilet might have gone:

As well as some sick burns:

But just as soon as everyone was ready to commit to an outlandish conspiracy theory, John Legend finally weighed in with the deets:

Logical thinking.

So there you have it. The great toilet caper has been solved. And that contractor would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those pesky Twitter users!

But it was entertaining while it lasted:

She is truly the gift that keeps on giving. ❤️

MAGA Furious After Iowa Official Refuses Governor's Order To Fly Flags At Half-Staff For Charlie Kirk

Iowa City official Jon Green, chair of the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, has declined to comply with Governor Kim Reynolds' order that flags be flown at half-staff following the murder of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that he will not honor a man “who did so much to harm not only the marginalized, but also to degrade the fabric of our body politic.”

Green sent an email to other officials and department heads in which he asked “that we keep all victims of gun violence, including the slain Colorado students, at front of mind as we serve," referring to students who were shot at a Colorado high school the same day that Kirk was assassinated in Utah.

Fox News Host Apologizes After His Suggestion That Homeless People Be Euthanized Sparks Outrage

Fox and Friends host Brian Kilmeade was criticized for suggesting that homeless people with mental health issues get "involuntary lethal injection" after the murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a train in North Carolina—and was swiftly condemned for an insincere apology several days after the fact as many are calling for Fox News to terminate his contract.

Zarutska was stabbed to death at the East/West Boulevard station on the Lynx Blue Line in Charlotte last month; her killer, a homeless man with a history of mental health issues, has since been charged with first-degree murder.
