Chrissy Teigen's dog died and her Instagram followers had to deal with it.

The 32-year-old model's dog, Puddy, died this week and Teigen's tribute to her canine companion was a eulogy followed by an Instagram blitz of epic proportions.

After her hair stylist Jen Atkin posted a picture of cosmetics, Teigen tied in her personal tragedy. "Puddy would have wanted this," she wrote. Underneath the right-hand photo, Teigen said, "Glad to see your so happy my dog died."

"My dog just died," Teigen added to Atkin's next photo.

After posting her photos to Instagram, Teigen moved to Twitter where she used her notoriously dark humor in handling the sad subject matter.

Puddy was named after David Puddy, Elaine Benes's on and off boyfriend on Seinfeld. Both man and dog "shared a love of sitting and staring at nothing."

"Nah I'm good."

No, it's spelled "Puddy," buddy.

One of Teigen's Twitter followers shared in her grief. "My dog died on Sunday. I have been shopping online with my credit card debt to help my pain And asking for my bf to buy me food," Priscilla wrote sympathetically.

Twitter really came through with emotional support for Teigen and her loss, though some posts got a little dark.

Kathleen Contine recalled having to put her dog to sleep, and all the feels were included. "We had to put my dog down last Sunday (17!) and it sucks I still randomly cry," she said as she wept over her keyboard.

The world is going to miss Puddy Teigen. Maybe he's in a better place, like Mario Kart heaven. (Teigen is a fan of the Mario racing game series.)

Puddy, an English bulldog, leaves behind not only Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, but also his now widowed dog wife, Pippa. Pippa

All told, Teigen's internet tribute to Puddy was beautiful, and we can all only dream of getting this kind of send off.

In the end, Teigen took a more somber note, writing, "It's true what they say. We are their entire lives and it is the greatest shame that they can only bless us with a short spark of time in ours. I always knew I would lose a piece of me when he left us. I feel the hole now."
