Gallows humor refers to making a joke about a serious situation.
That's what Chris Rock and many other people of color did online after the latest mass shootings.
However not everyone thought the joke was funny.
Rock shared a meme on Instagram that had been making the rounds on Twitter.

While most of the comedians on Rock's Instagram were laughing it up...

...some people...









Same on Twitter as well.
Apparently it's OK to refer to people of color as "thugs" and "animals" but a Black man points out a fact about recent acts of domestic terrorism in the United States and everyone loses their minds.
But the "reverse racism" crowd got some pushback.






But one person nailed the issue.

Unless you're out here posting the same outrage when it's all people of color being targeted, your argument about stating a fact about a small, specific group of White people lacks merit.
