A lot of work, consideration, time, and money goes into planning a wedding, so it only stands to reason that the happy couple would hope that everything would be perfect on the day of the wedding.
For some, this is the perfect reason to make their weddings child-free. Kids are often unpredictable because of their nap schedules, what they've eaten, their level of impulse control, and more variables, and some couples think it's better to eliminate them altogether from the festivities.
Others couldn't dream of leaving the kids out of the fun, especially when those kids are related in some way through family or close friends.
A recent TikTok video, posted by The Fox Twins sparked a whole new edition of this child-or-no-children debate when a child was caught on-camera wiping food off of her face... directly onto the bride's white dress.
The bride was laughing, and the text overlay read:
"When you can't find a napkin, so you use the bride's dress."
The video caption also quipped:
"Do not recommend serving ketchup with the chicken nuggets and fries for the kiddie meal... or just don't invite kids..."

The video quickly garnered 1.3 million views and over 65.9 thousand views, and the 1100 comments were deeply divided over the "or just don't invite the kids" line from the video.
There were a few TikTokers who said this was the work of a child who didn't know better.
After all, who serves chicken nuggets, fries, and ketchup at a wedding function where a white dress will make an appearance? Plus, many parents can confirm that children hate having dirty faces and will use basically anything to wipe away the mess.

But most cited this as one more example of what they would want to have a child-free wedding.
Wanting to have drinks at the reception without having to worry about children having access to alcohol, and worrying about children disrupting the wedding ceremony or the first dance, seem to be concerns of the past, as we've now graduated to worrying about how the kids are going to ruin the bride's wedding dress.

Soon after the video was so critically received, the mother of the child posted a vlog-style video featuring a voiceover written as if it were from the children "to clear up a few things."

What the TikTokers didn't know is that there was some vital information missing from the original video.
Most assumed the event caught in the video was the wedding day itself, but it was actually the dress rehearsal.
The little girl featured in the video was one of the bride's nieces, and she's also an identical twin. The twins' mom maintains a TikTok channel, featuring Jayna and Kinsley growing up, at @thefoxsaystwins.
And as it turned out, the wedding itself was child-free, as the twins complained at the end of the video:
"When it was actually time for the wedding, Mom had the audacity to tell us to stay with the babysitter in the hotel room and that we weren't even invited. Rude."
This is a great reminder that sometimes there is more to the story than meets the eye, especially when we're referencing a five-second-long video.
