The actor was hospitalized after she was hit in the face by a falling light while on set back in 2012.

In Kristin Chenoweth's new novel I'm No Philosopher, But I Got Thoughts, the actor detailed a horrifying accident on the set of CBS's The Good Wife that resulted in long-standing injuries.

Chenoweth was on Watch What Happens Live and host Andy Cohen asked if she'd heard from the network following the release of her book.

The Emmy and Tony award-winning Broadway icon shared she had not but she did regret not taking legal action.

"I didn't do it out of fear and anxiety, so don't ever let fear rule your life."
"I have long-standing injuries from that."
"I wished I had listened to my dad, who said, 'You're gonna wanna do this'."
"And we're not the suing family, but when you're practically killed..."

Chenoweth was struck in the face by a piece of lighting equipment while filming season four of the drama in 2012.

She recounted:

"I heard, like, a flagpole sound. I literally heard, 'We're losing the light'."
"I heard, 'Action.' And I woke up at Bellevue [Hospital]."

She revealed:

"It hit me in the face and it threw me into a curb."
"Seven-inch skull fracture, hairline [fracture], and teeth and ribs."

You can watch the interview below.

Many on Twitter agreed Chenoweth should have listened to her father.

Of course many were just happy our national treasure survived such a traumatic injury.

Chenoweth also revealed her hair extensions actually kept the injuries from being worse than what they were.

"My hair extensions, you know, made the hairline fracture go together."
"My doctor said, 'What are these metal things?'"
"And I said, 'They're hair extension'."
"And he said, 'They saved your life'."

She then joked:

"So, anyone who wants to get hair extensions should, for your health."

We are so thankful she's ok...and thankful for hair extensions, too!

Deadly wildfires in Los Angeles County remain largely uncontained, with officials reporting at least five confirmed fatalities so far. However, on Thursday, authorities admitted, “frankly, we don’t know” the true extent of the death toll. Evacuation orders are currently affecting nearly 180,000 residents, as thousands of homes and buildings have been destroyed.
