Chelsea Handler Makes Savage Dig At Her Ex Jo Koy While Hosting The Critics' Choice Awards

Handler seemingly made a swipe at her former boyfriend and 2024 Golden Globes host for blaming his awkward jokes on his writers.

While hosting the Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday, Chelsea Handler threw a little jab at ex-boyfriend Jo Koy following widespread criticism of his hosting job at last week's Golden Globes.

Handler was delivering a bit about Harrison Ford and Robert De Niro being “total smoke shows" and added:

“Martin Scorsese isn’t here tonight, but that’s not going to stop me from letting everyone in this room know that I would toss him around like a little Italian meatball.”

The joke was met with audience laughter, to which the host responded:

“Thank you for laughing at that. My writers wrote it.”

This, of course, was a subtle dig at Koy, who blamed his ill-received jokes at the Golden Globes on his writers.

While opening the Golden Globes, Koy became frustrated with guests' reactions and told the audience:

“Yo, I got the gig 10 days ago."
“You want a perfect monologue? Yo, shut up. Slow down."
"I wrote some of these, and they’re the ones you’re laughing at.”

Those in attendance at the Critics' Choice Awards appreciated Handler's nod to her writers and the swipe at Koy, and her line was met with applause and laughter from the audience.

You can watch below.

And audience members weren't the only ones laughing.

The shade did not slide past viewers at home, either, and many took to social media to acknowledge the subtle roasting.

After his gig, Koy did acknowledge his mistake in throwing his writers under the bus and told The Los Angeles Times:

“That was a rookie move."
“Those writers are dope and that was not my intention at all. They were amazing, they had my back and I need to make sure I fix that and I will, I always will.”

Handler and Koy dated for nearly a year before breaking up in July of 2022.

At the time of their breakup, Koy told TMZ the two remained friends. We wonder if that's still the case after Sunday night.

Awkward Typo In Elon Musk's Bizarre 'Education Department' Trump Meme Is A Total Self-Own

Billionaire Elon Musk was widely mocked after he celebrated President Donald Trump's executive order to begin to dismantle the Department of Education (DOE) by posting a meme of Trump at the department's grave, only for an awkward misspelling to get all the attention.

Polling indicates that eliminating the Education Department is largely unpopular, with 60% of registered voters opposing the move, according to a Quinnipiac University survey conducted March 6-10. Support stands at 33%, with opposition particularly strong among Democrats—98% oppose it, while just 1% support it.

People Break Down How They Realized An Entire Industry Was A Total Scam

We unfortunately live in a world where scams are on the rise.

Thankfully, some of them are pretty easy to detect, such as an automated call from the IRS telling you a warrant is out for your arrest, or an email claiming to be from Amazon or the USPS asking for your credit card information, only to look closer and see the email address is a yahoo account.
