In a powerful statement, Jimmy Carter's grandson Jason Carter passed on Carter's one wish as he approaches his 100th birthday on October 20.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, former Democratic President Jimmy Carter has plans for his 100th year.

That involves defeating Donald Trump by voting for Kamala Harris.

The 39th President will turn 100 on October 1, 2024.

Carter recently told his son Chip Carter:

"I'm only trying to make it to vote for Kamala Harris."

Chip Carter had asked his father if he was striving to reach the century mark.

Carter's sentiments about wanting to make it long enough to vote for Harris were shared with the newspaper by his grandson, former Georgia state Democratic Senator Jason Carter.

People thought Carter's goal was a good one.

President Carter struggled with low approval ratings during his time in office.

He was the last Democratic President to serve just one term.

Since leaving office, Carter garnered international admiration and respect for his humanitarian work.

Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 "for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development."
