Tucker Carlson Ripped For Cringey 'Menstruating Teenagers' Comparison About Lack Of Media Diversity
Fox News

Fox News personality Tucker Carlson raised eyebrows after he somehow turned a diatribe about a lack of diversity in news media into a remark about the menstruation cycles of teenagers.

Carlson made his remarks during a segment in which he criticized media coverage that denounced the January 6 insurrection as a dark day in American history. The Capitol riot resulted in several deaths, over 100 injuries to law enforcement and millions of dollars in damages when a mob of MAGA rally goers violently stormed the United States Capitol at the urging of former Republican President Donald Trump.

In what amounted to little more than a non-sequitur, Carlson asserted "there is precisely zero diversity in our national media" before comparing what he suggested amounted to conformity to menstrual cycle synchronicity among teenagers.

You can hear what Carlson said in the video below.

Carlson said:

“For all the talk you hear of diversity, there is precisely zero diversity in our national media. People may have different skin tones or different sexual interests—not relevant."
"They are all from such similar backgrounds with such similar beliefs and values and life experiences that their gut reactions to everything have aligned into perfect synchronicity, like menstruating teenagers at summer camp.”

Derogatory comments referencing a menstrual cycle have been decried as sexist for suggesting those experiencing menses are incapable of rational thought during their "time of the month."

Carlson's remarks were delivered “without a shred of self-awareness," according to The Daily Beast, which noted they also amounted to further downplaying of the January 6 insurrection, which took place when the MAGA mob incited by Trump's attacked the United States Capitol on the false rhetoric the 2020 general election was stolen.

Carlson was harshly criticized for his remarks.

Carlson went on to criticize the Democratic Party as thinking "exactly alike because message discipline is what they do" and suggested they are incapable of thinking "independently."

He suggested anyone who points this out is immediately "denounced as a conspiracy theorist," a remark only further downplaying the significance of the outcry from Democrats against a mob attempting to overthrow constitutional democracy.

MAGA Senator Slammed After Scolding Americans For Whining About High Gas Prices Amid Iran War—And Wow

Kansas Republican Senator Roger Marshall chastised Americans for complaining about high gas prices and insisted they should consider that their "national security is even more important" than whatever blows are being dealt to their wallets at the gas pump.

Consumer prices are up 3.3% compared to a year ago, largely fueled by a surge in energy costs. The energy index jumped 10.9% in a single month as oil and gas prices climbed sharply. Amid the Iran war and the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, oil has risen back to around $100 a barrel, pushing gasoline prices up by a record 25%.

X user @oatmilkanie shouted out an unidentified child who clearly got the memo when they boarded a plane and discovered that the child had written a note for the next person to sit in their seat, directly on the paper nausea bag that's snuggled in the seat pocket in front of the passenger's knees.
