Cardi B Shares Hopeful Message Of Thanks To Kamala Harris—And Now We're Sobbing

The rapper shared a message for Vice President Kamala Harris after her election loss, thanking her for being "a real example of what the American dream should be."

Cardi B penned a hopeful message after Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris conceded the 2024 election to Republican President-Elect Donald Trump, who became the second U.S. President to return to the White House for a non-consecutive second term.

For 107 days, Harris and her team—including her running mate Tim Walz—ran the best campaign they could after President Joe Biden stepped down from the race on July 21 after his fumbled presidential debate failed to win the confidence of Democrats.

The official announcement that Harris would go head-to-head with Trump as the party's nominee re-invigorated the election with the hope that the former President, a convicted felon, misogynist, and 2020 election denier, would be prevented from making a White House comeback.

But the expected high number of votes didn't come in on election day, and the hearts of many Democratic voters sank the moment CNN called the swing state of North Carolina for Trump, followed by CBS News calling the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania for the ex-President.

In the wake of Harris losing her chance at becoming the 47th President and the first female president of the U.S., rapper Cardi B took to social media and wrote the VP an uplifting note.

"No matter what they've said to bring you down or belittle your run for presidency they can never say you didn't run your race with honesty and with integrity," wrote the Grammy-winning "I Like It" rapper" on November 6.

Cardi, who was a guest speaker at a rally for Harris in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, continued:

"You really put up a fight against all the odds that were already stacked against you!"
"You never accepted defeat as an option which says so much about your strength and about your heart. You really wanted better for ALL of us!"

The 32-year-old said that she never thought she would see the day that a "woman of color would be running for the President of the United States," but was reassured after Harris proved to Cardi, her daughters, and all the women in America that "anything is possible."

She concluded with:

"Thank you for being empowered, thank you for being an example of what the American dream should be!"

For the caption, Cardi addressed all the boastful conservatives and far-right voters who were gloating on social media over their candidate's victory over Harris.

She wrote:

"No need to nasty, y’all picked your winner…"

To the dejected voters who remain frustrated and scared of what's to come in the next four years, the rapper offered:

"All we can do is be hopeful and wish the best."
"Before Kamala joined the race, we knew how this country is set up and what was probably going to happen but it was so inspiring how she fought and changed so many minds, including mine."

Fans agreed Harris ran a hard-fought, honest, and inspiring campaign.

The rapper continued receiving praise.

Well said, Cardi.

Now, it's time for us to "roll up our sleeves."

Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy was widely mocked following his inconvenient slip of the tongue during a CNBC interview as he mused about finding ways to "cut" Medicare before quickly correcting himself.

GOP Senator Gets Blunt Reality Check After Comparing Trump Tariff 'Pain' To Home Renovation

Montana Republican Senator Tim Sheehy was criticized after he tried to compare the "short-term pain" of President Donald Trump's tariffs to home renovation, a claim so ridiculous that CNN's Kaitlan Collins quickly pushed back on the analogy.

Trump has repeatedly referred to April 2 as “Liberation Day,” pledging to impose tariffs—taxes on imports—to reduce U.S. reliance on foreign goods. He has framed these tariffs as “reciprocal,” aiming to match the duties other nations place on American exports.

Liberal Wisconsin Judge Calls Out Elon Musk In Victory Speech—And It's Everything

Liberal judge Susan Crawford called out billionaire Elon Musk in her victory speech after winning a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, basking in successfully beating her Republican opponent Brad Schimel and ensuring that the nonpartisan court’s narrow 4-3 liberal majority remains intact despite Musk's efforts to sway the race.

Musk fueled the high-stakes race, having poured more than $20 million into supporting Schimel, according to state campaign records. That includes $3 million to the state Republican Party—$2 million of which was donated just last week. Due to state election laws, large contributions must be funneled through political parties before reaching candidates.
