Well, it would seem when gas stations have signs that read "Bathrooms are for customers only" they aren't joking.

A woman's video is going viral on TikTok after she recorded a tense, volatile exchange between herself and the gas station attendant who did not take too kindly to her utilizing the lavatory without purchasing anything from his business.

Text overlayed in the video read:

"This Guy at this Gas Station in Queens NYC took air out of my tire because I parked in his gas station and didn't buy gas."

I’m stressed #nyc #gasstation

The minute-and-a-half long TikTok filmed by Lizzy—@lizzyashmusic on the social media platform—captured the attention of nearly 400,000 people, 50,500 likes and almost 1,500 comments.

A second piece of text read:

"I'm a taxi driver and I had to pee so now my tires are flat and ripping because this guy wanted $20 and I didn't buy gas!"

The heated discussion was the catalyst for a flurry of activity in the comments section as shocked viewers weighed in on the situation.

Lizzy Ashliegh, a singer and creative director who also works part time as an Uber driver, posted the video four days ago.

Based on the text overlayed in the video, Lizzy ran into the storefront to use the bathroom, only for her tires to have air taken out of them during the time it took her to use the restroom.

When she returned to her vehicle, Lizzy was shocked to see the gas station attendant relieving her tires of air and that's when she started recording the incident.

In the video, viewers can hear the attendant questioning Lizzy, asking her “why did you park here” with Lizzy replying she "had to pee”.

Commenters on the TikTok replied in consternation and shock, advising Lizzy to seek out legal counsel given what the gas station attendant did could be considered vandalism and he could be sued for lost wages.

In a follow up video, Lizzy explained to viewers she did, in fact, call the police to the scene of the exchange.

But, upon arrival, the police informed Lizzy their investigation revealed the staff member had pulled a “prank” on her.

The follow-up video also showed the damage to Lizzy's tires and Lizzy explaining she could not accept any more Uber riders that day due to her car no longer being safe to drive.

Reply to @1.mssp Part 2 is Up ! The car is fixed Namaste 🙏🏾 Just another crazy NEW York Minute. Back to the grind and hustle.

Later on in the follow-up video, Lizzy revealed an "angel" not only filled her tires with air but also replaced the damaged wheel with a new one, free of charge.

Sounds like an expensive "prank."
