As the right clutches its pearls over hip hop artists Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's "WAP" Grammy performance, far-right provocateur Candace Owens has once again started a Twitter feud with Cardi.

As usual, it's Cardi who seems to be winning the war of insults—until the two end up before a judge, that is.

Because this time the beef escalated to legal threats, with Owens announcing she's suing Cardi and Cardi threatening to sue right back.

So what's going on here?

Well, it all began with Owens decrying Cardi and Megan's sexually provocative performance in a Fox News interview, in which Owens accused Cardi of corrupting children and precipitating the "end of an [American] empire."

Like Madonna and Beyoncé before them, Cardi and Megan's audacious celebration of female sexuality had the right's hair on fire from the moment it dropped last August. And for Cardi, it seems to be all gravy—after all, there's no such thing as bad publicity, right?

So in response to Owens's hysteria, Cardi celebrated the attention Owens brought her, while cleverly underlining Owen's hypocrisy. Owens is an undying supporter of former Republican President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, who have themselves created quite a bit of "explicit content" over the years.

Cardi even went so far as to thank Owens for lining her pockets with outrage-fueled streams of her music.

It could have all just ended there.

But if we've learned one thing about far-right agitators like Owens who literally make their money off outrage, it should be they can never, ever resist taking the bait.

And take the bait Owens did.

So, Cardi dealt a blow in return calling out the thinly veiled homophobia in Owens' tweet.

She tweeted a screenshot of a tweet Owens supposedly posted last November in which she said her husband cheated on her with her brother.

Cardi included some choice words for Owens along with the screenshots:

"Not you talking about two women thrusting their vaginas together while your husband and brother slap c*cks and balls together. WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! wow."

But there was just one problem—the tweet attributed to Owens is almost certainly fake.

Owens claimed from the beginning the tweets were photoshopped and despite claims to the contrary by bloggers and tweeters there is no evidence it was ever posted by Owens.

So, Owens fired right back, getting in a dig at Cardi B's marital troubles with rapper Offset.

And after Cardi continued sharing articles about Owens's husband's infidelity in return, Owens threatened legal action for defamation.

But this story still isn't over!

Because included in Owens' legal threats were accusations Cardi herself photoshopped the tweets about her husband's infidelity. So now Cardi is threatening to sue Owens too.

And put her firmly in her place a few hours later.

The women are still trading barbs as of this writing, well over 24 hours later—though Cardi seems to be the clear winner in Twitter's eyes.

Here's hoping the two hash out their differences on Judge Judy and really give us the finale we're waiting for.

Oklahoma Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin was mocked online after he accidentally called President-elect Donald Trump's Defense Secretary pick Pete Hegseth "unqualified" during a Fox segment, although he meant to say "Pete Buttigieg," referring to the outgoing Secretary of Transportation.

The selection of the former Fox weekend host has sparked surprise within the Pentagon, where officials have privately questioned his qualifications for the role. The extent of his relevant experience appears to be that he's an Army National Guard veteran, having served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Tim Kaine Rips GOP For Misspelling 'Military' In Poster Bemoaning Lowered Standards In Military

Virginia Democratic Senator Tim Kaine called out Republicans after noticing they misspelled "military" in their presentation griping about "DEI" during the Senate confirmation hearing of former Fox News host Pete Hegseth for the Secretary of Defense position, which would put him in charge of the nation's armed forces.

Missouri Republican Senator Eric Schmitt used the hearing as an opportunity to rail against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives that the GOP has argued are discriminatory and try to address racial discrimination by disadvantaging other groups, particularly white Americans.
