Bullied Boy Says He Didn't Fight Back Because 'It's Not The Jedi Way'—And His Mom Is Speaking Out

Bullied Boy Says He Didn't Fight Back Because 'It's Not The Jedi Way'—And His Mom Is Speaking Out
Facebook Lizette Casanova

This week ten-year-old Aiden Vasquez was bullied and physically abused at school and still took the high road.

Aiden's mother Lizette Casanova took to social media to vent her frustration at a school that isn't keeping her son safe from bullies. The latest encounter marks the second time her son has received stitches due to altercations with bullies at school. Yet, despite the unchecked abuse, young Aiden says he won't fight back. Speaking to KMIR he said:

I told my mom, I got it from 'Star Wars,' that it's not the Jedi way.'

Casanova isn't backing down and went to the school board of Two Bunch Palms Elementary in Desert Hot Springs, where Aiden attends, saying:

I want to be able to tell you guys everything. I want to tell you about how the kids follow him and chase him and tell him to commit suicide.

Feeling as though she isn't being heard, Casanova took to Facebook to share what was going on.

Aiden's response of being like a jedi caught the attention of Luke Skywalker himself, actor Mark Hamill, who sent this message.

Messages of encouragement came in for Aiden.

We hope Aiden and his mother get some help from the school district in handling this problem.

Trump is of course no stranger to COVID-19 conspiracy theories—he made them a hallmark of his first term, when his administration oversaw and dangerously bungled the pandemic response—but this time he's brought his youngest daughter into the mix.

Senators Elissa Slotkin (Michigan) and Mark Kelly (Arizona) joined Representatives Chris Deluzio and Chrissy Houlahan (Pennsylvania), Maggie Goodlander (New Hampshire), and Jason Crow (Colorado), all of whom are veterans. In a video message, they noted that the Trump administration is "pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens."

Family Goes Viral After Throwing Hilariously Dramatic Funeral For Child's Pacifier

All children grow and develop at different rates. Whether they crawl earlier, walk later, have trouble letting go of the baby bottle, or just cannot get behind the idea of mushed green beans, each child will have a journey all their own.
