Following former President Trump's impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate, one of his lawyers, Bruce Castor—who had already reportedly let Trump down with his embarrassing performance—was caught on video stealing several drink coasters as souvenirs.
You can catch him in the act here:
Castor was roasted on Twitter, where many mockingly repurposed the conservative conspiracy theory hashtag #StopTheSteal.
Many saw Castor stealing from the Senate as a perfect way to end his performance.
Others commented on President Trump's past unwillingness to pay his lawyers or other bills.
It seems Castor learned an important lesson from Trump.
Do whatever you feel you can get away with.
Ultimately, Castor's "crime" was far less serious than the one he was defending before the Senate.
Former President Trump continues to choose only the "best people" to work for him.
