Justin Timberlake Adjusts His Outfit On Tour After Awkward Wardrobe Malfunction Goes Viral
Dec 24, 2024
Sleigh bells weren't the only things jangling this holiday season.
Pop star Justin Timberlake course-corrected his viral wardrobe malfunction that happened at the December 12 show of The Forget Tomorrow World Tour at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
While performing his 2013 song "Mirrors," the ten-time Grammy winner inadvertently exposed the outline of his crotch while his waist was tightly strapped to a harness.
The safety harness and straps to the deck are meant to secure him as he stands on a rotating platform that hovers and tilts above the crowd.
But concertgoers saw more than they bargained for.
Consequently, his chestnuts were majorly roasted by the internet.

Fans attending the December 20 tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri, noticed Timberlake made a slight adjustment to his shirt to ensure his crotch wasn't going to upstage him again.
You can watch the new family-friendly presentation of the "Mirrors"—with a long tunic—seen in the clip below.
@danahschremmer Justin Timberlake performed in Kansas City tonight with a much longer shirt. No bulge issues now! #worldtour #justintimberlake #kansascity
Despite his best efforts, the longer shirt didn't spare him from continued ridicule.

The wardrobe glitch came 20 years after the infamous one in which 140 million people watching the 2004 Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show saw famed pop star Janet Jackson's boob.
Timberlake, who was one of several cameos during the 11-minute performance, "accidentally" pulled off the right cup of Jackson's rubber bustier, which was meant to reveal a red-laced bra underneath during a costume reveal to the song "Rock Your Body."
However, audiences briefly saw her bare breast when part of her costume became detached.
Referred to as "Nipplegate," the controversy led to Jackson being shamed while it didn't seem to adversely affect Timberlake's career.
Many thought Timberlake's recent wedgie incident was payback for his involvement in the scandal that led to MTV being banned by the NFL from producing future half-time shows.

The Forget Tomorrow World Tour is Timberlake's seventh headlining concert tour in five years to promote his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was.
It kicked off on April 24, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada, and is scheduled to conclude on July 20, 2025, in Paris.

President Of Panama Claps Back At Trump's Threat To Reclaim Panama Canal
Dec 24, 2024
President-elect Donald Trump's first term in office was marked by a foreign policy that involved cozying up to authoritarian adversaries while attacking allies.
He drew criticism for his fawning admiration of Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. His second term hasn't even started yet, but it looks to be more of the same.
Trump's already talked about meeting with his "good friend" Vladimir Putin, telling Turning Point USA's AmericaFest:
"President Putin said that he wants to meet with me as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, he attacked Canada, Mexico, Panama, and Greenland with threats of invasion or annexation in speeches and through social media posts.
Regarding Panama, on Saturday Trump posted:
"The United States has a vested interest in the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of the Panama Canal, and that was always understood. We would and will NEVER let it fall into the wrong hands!"
"It was not given for the benefit of others, but merely as a token of cooperation with us and Panama. If the principles, both moral and legal, of this magnanimous gesture of giving are not followed, then we will demand that the Panama Canal be returned to us, in full, and without question."
"To the Officials of Panama, please be guided accordingly!"

Trump also told the AmericaFest crowd in Arizona:
"We’re being ripped off at the Panama Canal like we’re being ripped off everywhere else.
"[The United States] foolishly gave it away."
Trump stated:
"If the principles, both moral and legal, of this magnanimous gesture of giving are not followed, then we will demand that the Panama Canal be returned to the United States of America, in full, quickly and without question."
He also falsely claimed China was controlling the canal. Unwilling to be bullied by Trump or to allow him to spout revisionist history and lies unchallenged, Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino responded to the threat with a video message posted to X.
You can watch it with English subtitles here:
President Mulino stated:
"As President, I want to express clearly that every square meter of the Panama Canal and its adjacent zone belongs to Panama, and will continue to do so."
"The sovereignty and independence of our country are not negotiable."
BREAKING: Panama’s President just HIT BACK at Donald Trump after he threatened the country saying “Every square meter of the Panama Canal and the surrounding area belongs to Panama and will continue belonging so.” Trump is embarrassing the U.S. on the world stage already.

@truthbeholden/Bluesky
The Panama Canal—a 51-mile (82km) artificial waterway connecting the Atlantic to the Pacific—was begun by colonizing forces at the end of the 19th century, cutting through the foreign occupied Panama Isthmus which was controlled by Colombia at the time. France started work on the canal in 1881, then stopped in 1889 due to engineering problems, a high worker mortality rate, and funding issues.
A canal saved ships a perilous journey around the southern tip of South America, making it especially important to industries shipping goods from the Americas to global markets.
So the United States began their work on the project in 1904—after supporting Panama's independence from Colombia—with the canal opening in 1914. The United States continued their occupation of Panama to control the canal and surrounding Panama Canal Zone until the 1977 Torrijos–Carter Treaties provided for return of the land to the people of Panama.
After a period of joint American–Panamanian control, Panama reclaimed their unceded territory in 1999. The canal is now managed and operated through the Panamanian government-owned Panama Canal Authority.
Trump responded Sunday in the manner people have come to expect—a pair of petulant Truth Social posts.
@realDonaldTrump/Truth Social
@realDonaldTrump/Truth Social
People have accused Trump of trying to imitate the strong men he admires.
His first term saw numerous desperate attempts to gain acceptance and praise from dictators Putin and Kim.

While others cite a more basic reason for the attacks on allies.
Petty revenge for perceived slights—like being held accountable for paying taxes.
What could Trump have against Panama? Oh.

Aside from Trump's MAGA minions...
...who were unbothered by their dear leader's real motives...
...virtually no one endorsed Trump's attacks on sovereign nations who are longtime United States allies.
He promised to stop russian war in Ukraine in 24 hours after being elected, and have no wars. Now he threatens Canada, Denmark, Panama with occupation of their territories?

After the conquest, he should personally plant American flags all along the sides of the canal to remove all doubt that it's America now. He should also dress for the hot and humid weather while also following RFK JR's vaccine guidelines.

Honestly the whole Panama flap, Trump is honest to god scared to death to actually use the military. So no worries Panama. He’s honest to god, scared to death. He’s such a small, weak, whiney, sissy
— Adam Kinzinger (@adamkinzinger.bsky.social) December 22, 2024 at 5:40 PM
Trump has threatened to invade via social media the following nations over the past three weeks: Greenland, Mexico, Canada, and Panama.
— Ben Meiselas (@meiselasb.bsky.social) December 22, 2024 at 10:43 PM
The ratified 1977 United States-Panamanian treaty establishing the canal’s permanent neutrality for transit by all nations remains in effect.
As President Mulino stated:
"Panama respects other nations and demands respect."
"The canal will remain in Panamanian hands as an inalienable patrimony of our nation."

GOP Rep. Slammed For Praising Elon Musk As Basically The 'Prime Minister' In Alarming Interview
Dec 24, 2024
Texas Republican Representative Tony Gonzales was criticized after remarking on Face the Nation how "it feels like" billionaire Elon Musk "is our prime minister" despite Musk not being elected to the position.
Gonzalez's words came after President-elect Donald Trump rejected claims that Musk is overshadowing him following backlash over Musk's role in blocking the emergency spending measure to prevent a government shutdown.
After a period of uncertainty, Congress passed a measure to fund the government through mid-March, which President Biden signed on Saturday, avoiding a shutdown. However, the resolution followed several failed attempts to secure government funding that would not have happened had Musk not inserted himself into the proceedings.
But even though Musk shouldn't have this much power, Gonzales certainly seemed to be okay with it after host Margaret Brennan asked him the following:
"I want to ask you about the dynamic here because it's confusing, honestly. Elon Musk is tweeting against bipartisan deals negotiated and led by the Speaker of the House. What role exactly is he playing here?"
Gonzales replied:
"It's kind of interesting, we have a president, we have a vice president, we have a speaker. It feels like, as if, Elon Musk is our prime minister."
When Brennan interjected that Musk is an "unelected" figure when Gonzales said he "spoke with Elon a couple of times this week," Gonzales responded with an attack on Democrats:
"Unelected but he has a voice and I think a large part of that voice is a reflection of the voice of the people. Once again, a 1,500-page bill: how does that pass the smell test? It's absolutely wrong, it's what's wrong with this place and we have to get back to regular order."
"The other part of it too is that while House Republicans were fighting over the spending bill, guess what Democrats were doing? They were ensuring that President Biden got his 235th liberal judge over the finish line. That's why House Republicans have to stay united, laser focus on delivering on a President Trump agenda next year."
When asked if he supports Speaker Mike Johnson despite the funding bill's collapse on Johnson's watch, he said he does, adding:
"He's done a fantastic job keeping us together. It's like feral cats in the House and that's a tough job to begin with. But the fact he was able to work with President Trump to whittle [the bill] down to a little over 100 pages, the fact he was able to work with Elon Musk and other folks, other members to find a solution just goes to prove that he's found a way."
"But also this can't be the norm. That's the reason why I voted against [the spending bill] and get back to regular order."
You can hear what he said in the video below.
Gonzales was swiftly criticized for his remarks.
Amid the backlash, Trump dismissed the idea that he had “ceded the presidency” to Musk. He added that even if Musk aspired to the role, he wouldn’t qualify due to the Constitution’s stipulation that the U.S. president must be a natural-born citizen—a requirement Musk, born in South Africa, does not meet.
Democrats have continued to voice concerns about Musk’s growing influence over congressional Republicans. However, Republicans have worked to minimize the appearance of any discord between the two figures.
Meanwhile, the spending legislation and the resulting chaos in the House sparked criticism of Johnson’s leadership. At least one Republican, Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky, announced he would not support Johnson for speaker in the next Congress.
This fueled speculation about Johnson's ability to maintain the support needed to keep his position, a situation that could leave House leadership up in the air much like last year's multi-vote, multi-day debacle.

Greenland's Leader Claps Back After Trump Suggests U.S. Taking Control Is A 'Necessity'
Dec 24, 2024
After President-elect Donald Trump posted on Truth Social calling "the ownership and control of Greenland" an "absolute necessity," Greenland's prime minister let him know in no uncertain terms that it wouldn't be happening.
Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, alongside the Faroe Islands, the only other autonomous territory within the Kingdom. Citizens of both Greenland and the Faroe Islands are full citizens of Denmark. As one of the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union, Greenland’s citizens are also recognized as EU citizens.
Although geographically part of the North American continent, Greenland has maintained strong political and cultural ties to Europe—specifically to Norway and Denmark, its historical colonial powers—for over a millennium.
The United States has long recognized Greenland's strategic importance. In 1946, the U.S. even proposed purchasing Greenland from Denmark, offering $100 million in gold as part of the deal. Of course, that never panned out and the U.S. has no claim to Greenland in any way, shape, or form—regardless of what Trump might think.
Yet Trump nonetheless took to his social media platform to make remarks regarding the "ownership and control" of the island while announcing Ken Howery, co-founder of PayPal and Trump’s former ambassador to Sweden, as his choice for ambassador to Denmark:
"I am pleased to announce Ken Howery as my choice for United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. Ken is a World renowned entrepreneur, investor, and public servant, who served our Nation brilliantly during my First Term as U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, where he led efforts to increase Defense, Security, and Economic Cooperation between our countries."
"As a Co-Founder of PayPal and venture capital fund, Founders Fund, Ken turned American Innovation and Tech leadership into Global success stories, and that experience will be invaluable in representing us abroad."
“For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity. Ken will do a wonderful job in representing the interests of the United States.”
You can see his post below.
@realDonaldTrump/Truth Social
Not long afterward, Greenland Prime Minister Mute Egede said the following in a written comment that rebuked Trump's suggestion:
"Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale. We must not lose our long struggle for freedom."
Trump was harshly criticized.
Trump didn't stop at Greenland during his speech—he also claimed the U.S. should get involved in Panama's affairs as well.
Trump said that his new administration might pursue efforts to reclaim control of the Panama Canal, which he described as having been “foolishly” handed over to Panama. He criticized the “ridiculous” fees imposed on shippers using the crucial waterway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Panama’s conservative president, José Raúl Mulino unequivocally rejected the suggestion, labeling it an insult to his country’s sovereignty. Mulino said that “every square meter of the canal belongs to Panama and will continue to belong” to his country.
