Britney Spears Flower Painting Auctions for $10,000 for Las Vegas Charity

Britney Spears Flower Painting Auctions for $10,000 for Las Vegas Charity

Britney Spears went from pop artist to legit artist when her flower painting auctioned off for $10,000 to raise money for the Las Vegas victims.

The creative endeavor is not a bad one for someone without any prior painting experiences beyond a grade school classroom. You can criticize her artistry all you want, but the amateurish brush strokes came straight from Britney's heart. Proceeds from the charity auction will go towards Vegas Cares, which is planning on building a memorial in remembrance of the victims and families of the Las Vegas shooting last month.

Here is a clip of the artist at work that was posted on Instagram on October 13 not on a concert stage, but on the terrace of her Thousand Oaks manse.

With Mozart's "Rondo Alla Turca" providing the aural mood, this is not an official music video, but it still gained viral attention with 4.6 million views. She happily exclaimed in her post, "Sometimes you just gotta play!!!!!!"

The painting is a depiction of four large flowers and a lone, smaller flower that would look at home drizzled over a store-bought cake. But the new owner of Spears' creation saw something so much more than that.

Robin Leach both auctioned the floral wonder and purchased it himself.

A photo of the former Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous host, happily clutching his prized acquisition was posted by a user on Instagram and captioned it with: "It's #RobinLeach, who just auctioned this @britneyspears piece to … himself! Yes! Great $10k moment #VegasCares @venetianvegas."

Leach is now the proud owner of something intimate. A window into the priceless mind of a pop icon. For $10,000, that's quite a bargain.

Spears is currently in residence at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's AXIS auditorium in Las Vegas. This isn't the first time she made a charitable gesture. She donated $1 million of proceeds from her show, "Piece of Me," to the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, which she helped open on Saturday.

“I’m just really excited to be standing here for our new NCCF campus,” Spears said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “We started fundraising in 2014, and we’ve raised $1 million to build this amazing facility to support the kids and the families everywhere. I’m so thankful to everyone for their generosity in making this a reality and making this happen.”

The pop superstar may not be a prodigious painter, but her brush strokes still speak volumes. And now Robin Leach has a piece of Brit's heart. Jealous?
