Newly-Married Bride Rushes To Aid Car Crash Victim—All While Still Wearing Her Wedding Dress

A recent wedding in Minnesota took an unexpected and surprising turn when the bride ended up going into nurse mode while still wearing her wedding dress.

Twenty-two-year-old Rachel Taylor and her new husband Calvin had just left their wedding en route to their new home in the city of Grove Heights, Minnesota when they witnessed a car crash.

Taylor's husband Calvin shared the details of the experience on his Facebook page.

While the people involved in a previous crash were sorting things out, another SUV barreled into the scene, striking Tamara Peterson, who'd just arrived to assist her son.

Taylor, a newly minted nurse, scooped up her wedding finery and dashed to the scene, ready to help the injured woman out.

As she told the St Paul Pioneer Press:

"I saw a couple of people dragging a woman over to the side of the road. I could see a gash in her right leg. I think I saw her bone in it."

Taylor pulled from her training helping calm women in labor to assist Peterson while they waited for EMTs to arrive.

"I just talked to her. I said, 'You're so strong. You're so brave. I'm so proud of you'."

And the incident gave Taylor a boost of confidence in her abilities in her new career.

"It seemed pretty natural. I was pretty surprised. I've always been lacking in confidence about my nursing abilities so it was nice to see that in a situation like that, I knew what to do."

In his Facebook post, Taylor's husband Calvin gushed with pride for his new wife.

"I am still blown away that she got out of the car in a scary situation to do what she does best. I can't wait for a hospital to scoop her up so she can make a difference in people's lives every day. I am so proud of my wife."

And on social media, people lauded Taylor's heroism and grace under pressure.

Tamara Peterson, the woman Rachel assisted, had no shortage of kind words for her either.

"She was awesome and helped save my life by keeping me focused, and calm. She certainly is a gifted angel and chose the right career path."

Not all heroes wear capes. Some of them wear wedding dresses.

Trump Just Tried To Blame His 'Meet The Press' Tantrum On The Weather—And Nobody's Buying It

President Donald Trump was criticized after he abruptly stormed out of an interview on Meet the Press on Sunday only to blame his tantrum on the rain.

Trump left after repeatedly insisting, without evidence, that both the 2020 presidential election and California's gubernatorial race were rigged. During the exchange, moderator Kristen Welker noted that California's lengthy ballot-counting process is routine, but Trump pointed to the ongoing tally as proof of wrongdoing.
