Brett Kavanaugh Defined 'Boof' And 'Devil's Triangle' From H.S. Yearbook And Twitter Calls Out His Lie

On Thursday, U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh denounced Christine Blasey Ford's allegations against him for sexual assault as part of a partisan conspiracy.

He covered a lot of ground during his testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, but things took a bizarre turn when he was asked to define a couple of slang terms referenced in his high school yearbook.

Teenage drinking was at its prime during the 80s—the decade which found Kavanaugh known for his heavy drinking habits and accused of sexually assaulting Ford while at a gathering with lots of alcohol.

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, (D-R.I.) inquired about some of the language used in Kavanaugh's 1983 senior yearbook to get a better sense of how he was as a teenager.

The exchanges between Kavanaugh and his longtime friend Mark Judge—who was in the room at the time of the alleged assault—had many references to drinking, partying and sexual exploits.

"Judge, have you boofed yet?" was one of the phrases in the yearbook that corresponded with "Bart, have you boofed yet?"

Whitehouse inquired what "boofing" was.

"That refers to flatulence," Kavanaugh replied, with a hint of a smirk. "We were 16."

Kavanaugh also described "devil's triangle" as a drinking game that is very similar to quarters.

Watch the exchange in the YouTube clip below.

Kavanaugh gave false information on both counts.

Twitter users were quick to point out the fallacy of his definitions and bashed him for lying while under oath.

According to Urban Dictionary, the "Devil's Triangle" refers to a threesome between a woman and two men.

"Boofing" isn't about flatulence, as Kavanaugh claimed.

The act refers to the abuse of illicit substances, including alcohol, by inserting them in one's rectum. Or it can also mean anal sex.

Others were more concerned about his frequent deflections in the hearing room than his lies.

Kavanaugh was also mentioned in the yearbook as a "Beach Week Ralph Club—Biggest Contributor."

Beach Week refers to the week of uninhibited drinking Kavanaugh attended with his classmates during the same summer of Ford's allegations.

Kavanaugh explained that "ralphing" meant vomiting, but that it had nothing to do with his drinking habits.

Whitehouse asked:

"So the vomiting that you reference in the Ralph Club reference related to the consumption of alcohol?"

Kavanaugh didn't answer the question. Instead, he rambled on about his hard work in school.

"Senator, I was at the top of my class academically, busted my butt in school. Captain of the varsity basketball team."
"Got in Yale College. When I got into Yale College, got into Yale Law School. Worked my tail off."
