Boebert Dragged After Calling Out The Media For Covering The Women's World Cup

The MAGA Rep. lashed out on X, formerly Twitter, accusing the media of 'neglecting' bigger stories to cover the huge sporting event and Trump's latest indictments.

Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert was widely mocked after she took to Twitter to express her frustration over mainstream media covering the Women's World Cup and former President Donald Trump's indictments rather than what she deemed as the "biggest news story of the century."

Her assertion was linked to testimony provided by Devon Archer in the House Oversight Committee, which has yet to be publicly released. Archer's testimony pertains to his role on the board of the oil company Burisma alongside Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden.

Boebert wrote:

“GET THIS: The mainstream media is choosing to neglect the biggest news story of the century and instead is covering President Trump and the Women’s World Cup."
"They are NOT reporting that our alleged [President] lied to the American people and sold out the country to line his pockets with millions.”
“So much for being ‘news’ networks. Shameful!”

Boebert's focus on Archer's testimony led her to dismiss the importance of the Women's World Cup, a premier international sporting event. The Women's World Cup has historically held immense cultural and athletic significance, particularly as the U.S. women's national soccer team has secured victory in the past two tournaments.

Her remarks also come after Special Counsel Jack Smith indicted Trump in connection with his widespread efforts to overturn the 2020 election result.

Trump faces four felony counts, including conspiracy to defraud the United States and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding. The indictment further accuses him of attempting to exploit the events of January 6—the day a mob of his supporters attacked the United States Capitol on the false premise the election had been stolen—to further his quest to maintain power.

However, Boebert's focus over much of the past week as evidenced by her social media accounts has been on House Oversight hearings that have largely highlighted the failure of Republicans to deliver on anything resembling proof of any wrongdoing by President Biden.

Boebert was swiftly criticized for her remarks.

Archer's testimony reportedly did not deliver the bombshell some Republicans were hoping for, leading Ingraham to dismiss the importance of solid evidence.

Earlier this week, Fox News personality Laura Ingraham was criticized after she downplayed the significance of finding "sufficient proof" to convict President Joe Biden of any financial crime.

Ingraham focused on Archer's comments during a closed-door interview with lawmakers. According to a CNN source, Archer mentioned that Hunter Biden was selling the "illusion" of access to his father, but he provided no evidence linking President Biden to his son's overseas business dealings.

Following the interview, a Democrat who was present during questioning later clarified that the pair never discussed business matters in their phone conversations and urged House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer—a Kentucky Republican who said the President "lied to the American people"—to release the transcript of Archer's interview to dispel misinformation.

The all-woman Blue Origin space flight doesn't seem to have elicited the response from the public that anyone involved expected, and CBS Mornings host Gayle King isn't having it.

Waves of criticism have been leveled at the participants for their out-of-touch statements about the trip, the expense and pollution of which have struck many as a "let them eat cake" moment in these times.

Someone Flew A 'Trump Country' Banner Over Bernie And AOC's Packed Rally—And AOC Clapped Back Hard

Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had the perfect response after one of President Donald Trump's supporters flew a banner reading "Folsom Is Trump Country" over a Northern California rally she held with her colleague, Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders.

She brushed off a warning that they were entering “Trump country” as the crowd swelled in deep-red Folsom, a Republican stronghold nestled in Representative Kevin Kiley’s district. Just to drive the point home, a small plane buzzed above the rally, trailing a banner in bold red letters: “Folsom Is Trump Country.”

MAGA Senator Gets An Earful From Angry Constituents During Iowa Town Hall—And It's Pure Fire

Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley was criticized by his "pissed" constituents during a town hall in Fort Madison this week who demanded why he hasn’t taken stronger action to hold President Donald Trump and his administration accountable as tensions escalate with the Supreme Court.

Those in attendance were galvanized by the Trump administration’s refusal to comply with a unanimous Supreme Court order instructing the White House to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Garcia was mistakenly deported to a prison in El Salvador known for its reputation for torture.
