The actor explained on The Drew Barrymore Show how he prefers women's jeans because he has "bird legs" and men's jeans are too "baggy."

Actor Billy Bob Thornton has a unique style all his own and he specifically talked about his clothing preference not found in the men's section.

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show Thornton revealed he likes wearing women's jeans and explained why.

The 69-year-old Oscar winner told Barrymore:

“The reason I don't like to wear men's jeans is because they're all too baggy."
"I've got bird legs and it just feels like I'm in a tent. I like a nice fit and they fit great with boots."

The Goliath star showed up to the daytime talk show in women's size 6 black Levi's.

Barrymore gasped and joked:

"Size 6? I couldn't get my right butt cheek in those."

Her response elicited laughter from Thornton and the studio audience, and she reiterated, "I don't think so."

Tight-fitting jeans and cowboy boots have been Thornton's go-to look since the late 90s after he gained stardom for his critically-acclaimed film Sling Blade, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, nabbing him an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.

He's been spotted on the red carpet throughout his career sporting the rock-star aesthetic without fail, and now we know why it works well for him, "bird legs" be damned.

Social media users did a double-take.

Thornton's latest project is a drama series on Paramount+ called Landman.

He stars as the lead character Tommy Norris, the titular Landman at an oil company in West Texas.

The world of oil rigs depicted in the series is, according to its synopsis, where "roughnecks and wildcat billionaires are fueling a boom so big it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics."

The show, which premiered on November 17, was created by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace and stars Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm.
