Singer/songwriter Billie Eilish is embracing her queer identity after vaguely coming out last year.
Her recent statement about being sexually attracted to women was made unequivocally clear when describing the inspiration behind her new song, "Lunch", from her upcoming third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.
The 22-year-old nine-time Grammy winner told Rolling Stone magazine on Wednesday:
“I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after."
The proud owner of a Flavor Flav clock necklace then said without any hint of irony:
“I’ve been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn’t understand—until, last year, I realized I wanted my face in a vagina.”

Fans got to hear "Lunch" and other tracks from the singer's upcoming album at a Do Labs Coachella party earlier this month.
A suggestive line from the lyrics heard in "Lunch" describes an intimate sapphic desire.
She sings:
“I could eat that girl for lunch / Yeah, she dances on my tongue / Tastes like she might be the one / And I can never get enough / I could buy you so much stuff / It’s a craving, not a crush."
Some fans were blushing.
Others found her relatable.
Social media users loved her even more for her candid self-assessment.
Last December, Eilish said in Variety's "Power of Women" cover story:
“I’ve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well."
She continued:
“I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real.”
When asked to elaborate on her admiration for women at Variety's hitmakers event, Eilish admitted:
"I'm still scared of them but I think they're pretty."
She told her interviewer she wasn't planning on outing herself with the cover story but added:
“But I kind of thought, ‘Wasn’t it obvious?’"
"I didn’t realize people didn’t know.”
Hit Me Hard And Soft is scheduled for a May 17 release via Interscope and Dark Room.
