Biden Just Did A Photo Op With A Guy Named Brandon—And People Think He's Trolling Republicans

Did President Joe Biden troll his Republican opposition when he met with a guy named Brandon? Social media users seem to think so.

But first, some context.

Last week, an anti-Biden rap song began making the rounds, eventually rising to the top of the iTunes hip-hop chart.

The song, entitled "Let's Go Brandon," is performed by rapper Loza Alexander and went viral on TikTok.

It was inspired by the "Let's go Brandon!" meme that has taken social media by storm since NBC's Kelli Stavast interviewed NASCAR driver Brandon Brown after he came in first place at Alabama's Talladega Superspeedway earlier this month.

The interview went viral because the crowd could be heard chanting "F*** Joe Biden" in the background, which Stavast misheard as "Let's go Brandon!"

The moment was widely viewed as an example of the heightened political polarization in American politics as the Biden administration continues to work on bridging the gaps in a stalled legislature in an effort to codify its social and economic agenda.

But President Biden appears to have subverted the joke, according to internet users who couldn't help but comment after Biden met with a man named Brandon to drum up support for Biden's "Build Back Better" intiative.

Writing on Twitter, Biden said:

"I'm fighting every day to pass my Build Back Better Agenda for folks like Brandon. His story is like so many I've heard across the country."
"Folks are just looking for a fighting chance and to be treated with the dignity they deserve–and that's what my agenda is all about."

Was this merely a coincidence?

The internet didn't seem to think so.

In fact, many agreed the President's social media game is strong.

In the weeks before Biden's video was posted, the phrase "Let's go Brandon!" had been used to criticize his administration's policies, including when hundreds of General Electric (GE) workers walked off the job to protest vaccine mandates.

Clearly, the President's social media team knows what they're doing.
