The two friends were on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' when Damon's exclusive 'Wordle' league was brought up—that Affleck has not been allowed to join.

Besties since the '80s, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon sometimes still act like the elementary-aged pals who lived just two blocks from each other in Cambridge, Mass... especially in regards to teasing and name-calling.

Take for instance, their appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show where Affleck bestowed the perfect nickname to his School Ties co-star.

The two along with Chris Tucker sat down with host Kelly Clarkson to promote their new movie Air, the film that tells the story of Nike's pursuit of basketball rookie Michael Jordan.

During the show, Clarkson mentioned the duo's rumored elite Wordle group consisting also of Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett, and Jason Bateman.

But Affleck revealed that is just not the case at all.

"No, I'm trying to get into it. And I'm being velvet-roped by the bouncer here."

He nodded to his Glory Daze co-star.

"He's telling me that I gotta get a cooler plus one."

As Damon tried to articulately justify his reasoning using Wordle-specific terminology, Affleck cut him off, quipping:

"Alright, Will Hunting."

The joke likening Damon to the titular genius janitor he portrayed in the film Good Will Hunting, which Affleck and Damon co-wrote and co-starred, garnered immediate laughter from the host and Tucker.

Of course, Clarkson and Tucker weren't the only ones in hysterics. Viewers of the segment also had their chuckle, many sharing their adoration of this 40-year friendship.
