Marvel's Dramatic Announcement Of The 'Avengers: Doomsday' Cast Sparks Hilarious Memes

After what seemed to be a revolving door of returning faces as Marvel announced the cast lineup for Avengers: Doomsday, fans took to social media to turn it into the perfect meme.

The internet hilariously trolled Marvel with endless memes after the studio revealed the epic cast list for the upcoming MCU film, Avengers: Doomsday.

Doomsday will be the fifth installment in the Avengers film series and the 39th film in the MCU, following 2019's Avengers: Endgame.


The Marvel Studios official X (formerly Twitter) page asked fans to "Take a seat" as the five-hour-long livestream tediously revealed the names of the cast members etched on the backs of on-set folding chairs, including some familiar and fresh new faces.

The announcement of the kitchen-sink list of actors inspired hysterical memes reflecting fans' suggestions of who they want to see in the new Avengers movie.









They weren't done. The submissions kept rolling in.





Last summer, fans did a double-take when they learned that Robert Downey Jr. was returning to the MCU as the villainous Doctor Doom.

He'll be joined by castmate mainstays like Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, Winston Duke as M'Baku. and Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr.

Joining the MCU for the first time will be the new Fantastic Four crew of Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, all of whom will make their Marvel debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Actors from the previous X-Men film series will also be making appearances, including Ian McKellen, who played Magneto, Patrick Stewart who played Professor Charles Xavier and previously made a cameo in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Alan Cumming, who was Nightcrawler in X2: X-Men United, and Rebecca Romjin, who was Mystique.

Channing Tatum will reprise his Deadpool & Wolverine cameo as Gambit for Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026, as part of Phase Six of the MCU.

It will be followed by its sequel film, Secret Wars, on May 7, 2027.
