Young 'Jurassic Park' Star Just Recreated That Infamous Shaky Jello Scene—And It's Perfection

Ariana Richards, who played Lex Murphy in the iconic film, took to TikTok to recreate that shaky green jello scene to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

It's been 30 years since the release of the film Jurassic Park. Actress Ariana Richards recreated one of her most iconic scenes from the movie in celebration.

Richards played Alexis "Lex" Murphy, the young granddaughter of Jurassic Park creator and CEO John Hammond played by Richard Attenborough. Lex was visiting her grandfather with her little brother Tim during the events of the movie because their parents are going through a messy divorce.

Thanks to the astronomically bad timing of their parents' divorce, Lex and Tim are at the park and end up facing off against some velociraptors in a kitchen after the raptors show up while they're trying to eat a well-deserved snack.

The scene of Lex realizing the velociraptors are there while about to eat a spoonful of green jello, and the slowly dawning look of horror that comes over her face while the jello jiggles on the spoon, is one of the most iconic scenes of the movie.

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the film, the Jurassic WorldTikTok account uploaded a side-by-side of a young Richards in the original scene and a recent recreation.

Universal Studios and fans of the movie are both taking the 30th anniversary seriously.

Jurassic World on TikTok has uploaded many videos about the anniversary in addition to the one featuring Richards.

There is also a slew of new 30th anniversary merch being released, including an adorable supersized—for Pops, anyway—Brachiosaurus Funko Pop.

And two fans in Iowa even went hiking in Brushy Creek State Recreational Park while cosplaying as characters from the film.

Jason Heitland and Ben Marlette dressed up as Jurassic Park characters and went for a hike in celebration of the film's anniversary.

Heitland told local CBS station KCCI:

"My friend Ben and I are admitted pop culture geeks. Both of us also enjoy getting out into nature as well as trying to get exercise when possible."
"The 30th anniversary of the first Jurassic Park movie gave us a chance to incorporate all three of those fascinations into one activity: going for a nature hike dressed as Jurassic Park characters."

The friends even drove to the park in Marlette's customized bright yellow Jurassic Park-themed Jeep.

Jurassic Park was such an iconic part of pop culture in the 90s that it's not hard to see why there is so much interest in the 30th anniversary of the film.
