American Woman's Italian Fiancé Left Seething After She Asks About Pineapple On Pizza

American Woman's Italian Fiancé Left Seething After She Asks About Pineapple On Pizza

When it comes to adding pineapple as a pizza topping, the specific preference can be a touchy subject among foodies.

The tropical fruit topping on the savory Italian dish, commonly known as Hawaiian pizza, originated in neither Italy nor Hawaii, but instead in a small town in Ontario, Canada.

Although pineapple pizza caters to many American palates, true Italians may think the addition of pineapple to their sacred dish is blasphemous.

At least that's how one Italian man reacted when his American wife trolled him in a TikTok video while dining out together in his native homeland.

Carlo and Sarah are an engaged couple with a popular TikTok channel where the mischievous fiancée constantly pulls pranks on her Romeo in an effort to draw out his impassioned and hilarious responses.

While at a restaurant, Sarah asked her scruffy fiancé—who was occupied with his smartphone:

"Do you think if I asked for pineapple on my pizza, they they'd give it to me?"

His thumb stopped clicking on the phone and his eyes immediately looked up with urgency in response to hearing the words "pineapple" and "pizza" in the same sentence.

You can see his hilariously annoyed response in the video here, captioned, "Carlo has had it with me [laughing emoji]."

Carlo responded to Sarah's inquiry with:

"I don't know if you do ... I couldn't continue to live here."

Sarah pressed him further by asking why and said that was what Americans do in America.

He admitted pineapple pizza was "good" when he tried it in America.

However, he added things might be different in Italy.

"But if they know that you're my fiancée and here you ask pineapple I cannot live here."

Sarah interjected by telling Carlo he was being dramatic.

Annoyed at this point, he said, "so dramatic?", and in the same breath reacted to her outrageous request with "pineapple ahhn da pizza!" in his thick Italian accent—as if saying, "seriously???"

The clip received over 1.4 million likes, with many TikTokers eating up Carlo's passionate response.

In another video, Sarah pretended to disgrace another Italian dish by telling Carlo she was going to make pasta carbonara but with hot dogs instead of cured pork.

His reaction was not at all surprising, and Sarah told him then he was being "so dramatic" while she stifled her giggles.

It is hardly surprising their channel has over 521K followers.

Their quirky and loving culture clashes in many of their videos are reminiscent of the entertaining interactions between Lucy and Ricky Ricardo, and we are totally here for it.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
