Security Video Captures 'Succession' Star Alan Ruck Plowing His Truck Through Restaurant Wall

Ruck was behind the wheel of an electric truck when he was caught on video speeding out of control through an intersection before slamming into the wall of Raffallo’s Pizza in Hollywood on Tuesday night.

Succession star Alan Ruck was involved in a four-car accident on Halloween night in which he drove his pickup truck into a Hollywood pizza parlor.

The accident was captured by surveillance cameras in the area, which showed Ruck's Rivian electric truck plowing into Raffallo's Pizza near the intersection of LaBrea Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood.

The accident appears to have been caused by Ruck and set off a chain reaction that ended with Ruck slamming into the eatery.

The video shows Ruck's truck rear-ending another motorist, sending that car into the intersection where it collided with another vehicle. Ruck then hit a second car while rounding the corner of the intersection and careened into Raffallo's Pizza.

Tim Ratcliff, who owns several restaurants located next to Raffallo's, told L.A.'s KTLA 5 that the impact shook the entire building so hard he thought "a bomb or something exploded." He immediately ran to Ruck's Rivian to offer help, but reported that Ruck was only concerned about the well-being of everyone else.

Ratcliff told KTLA:

“I asked him, ‘Are you okay?’ And the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘Is everyone [else] okay? I think I hit someone. Is he okay?'”

Ambulances were called for two people involved in the crash, and a third was hospitalized, but only minor injuries were reported according to the LAPD. The Raffallo's building, however, sustained extensive damage, which was captured on social media.

The accident is still under investigation by the LAPD, but no one involved was found to be driving under the influence.

On social media, many theorized that something either malfunctioned with Ruck's Rivian or that he made one of the common mistakes made by new drivers of electric vehicles.

And, of course, given Ruck's most famous role as Cameron Frye in Ferris Bueller's Day Off in which he destroys his father's vintage Ferrari in the film's climactic scene, there were also plenty of jokes.

Thankfully there were no injuries, but the pizza parlor sustained enough damage that it has been closed temporarily by the city.
