We're following a heartbreaking story out of Virginia after a girl and her dog were killed on a busy road in Rockbridge County.

12-year-old Jennarae Goodbar chased her dog Cash into the street after he ran away, resulting in a tragic collision that claimed both of their lives. Now, her family is burying the pair together in honor of their powerful bond.

People worldwide are expressing their deepest sympathy.




The Goodbar family set up a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses, which surpassed its goal in about 48 hours.

Mourners are praising Jennarae's courage and bravery.





People also sent well wishes to the devastated family.
