Gavin Newsom Trolls Jon Voight's Angry Rant About Him With A Classic 'Simpsons' Meme

MAGA actor Jon Voight shared a video criticizing Newsom and lauding President Trump as "the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln"—and Newsom's office responded with a Simpsons meme for the ages.

California Governor Gavin Newsom trolled actor and MAGA fan Jon Voight using a classic Simpsons meme after Voight shared a video message criticizing Newsom and lauding President Donald Trump amid the ongoing protests in Los Angeles against the Trump administration's immigration raids.

Newsom has clashed with the Trump administration since protests erupted over the weekend, saying Trump is inflaming hostilities by sending in the National Guard to shut down demonstrators.

Earlier this week, he dared Trump's border czar Tom Homan to follow through and "arrest me" for challenging the administration; he also gave a speech accusing the administration of using the protests as a pretext for an authoritarian takeover.

An angry Voight—one of Trump's most vocal supporters in Hollywood—later posted a video message on X criticizing Newsom's leadership, calling him "a fool for blaming Trump."

Voight said, in part:

"You're a fool blaming Trump. What are you doing for this destruction, of these animals destroying Los Angeles? Are you there, talking calmly with them, you fool? They would burn you down like they're burning the cars and the American flag, with no regard for humanity."
"This is not about Trump. This is about protecting the people from these animals and criminals trying to destroy us. And our police force. Are they supposed to stand there, let rocks hit them and kill them?! Who’s going to save them? You?"
“All you do is cause chaos for the people. You’re a disgrace! You’re nothing but a lying dog for the hopes of becoming the president one day."

Voight went on to describe Trump as "the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln" before concluding:

"We the people, we stand, I stand with Donald Trump to make this state great again. We the people choose Donald Trump to save America."

You can see Voight's video below.

Newsom's official press office had nothing to say to Voight—at least where a statement was concerned. Instead, they responded with the classic Simpsons meme showing the news story "Old Man Yells at Cloud."

You can see it below.

It was snarky as hell—and many loved Newsom's response, criticizing Voight in the process.

Voight is well known for posting video messages in support of Trump that bash GOP critics.

He has not yet responded to Newsom's press office, probably because he needs some aloe for that burn.

The term malaphor means when two or more colloquial phrases or idioms get confused and combined to create something nonsensical. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), malaphors are a common symptom of frontotemporal dementia or other cognitive impairments.

So when a person seeks to accuse someone of being unintelligent, their use of malaphors is ironic and possibly very telling—narcissists will always accuse others of their own faults and failures.
